Privacy Policy
A lot of companies have hard-to-read privacy policies that go on for pages and are coded in legal-ese. Privacy is at the heart of what we do, so we've endeavoured to produce a privacy policy that's easy-to-read.

That doesn't mean we can't improve if you have a specific question on the policy, please do contact our Data Protection Officer at technical@super-marketer.com.

My Google Data
We enable users to request and store their Google data. To do this, we ask for your authorisation to connect with Google and transfer your data into your SuperMarketer account. We cannot access this data until you authorise it.
We collect metrics like watch history, transaction history and user account details. We never request data such as private messages, passwords or bank details and your personal identifiable information will never be shared with anyone.
We comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and use information collected through your use of Google’s API to

-
to improve user-facing features on the App or Website.
Data we share with your partners and how your privacy is protected
We commercialise your anonymised data by providing insights into your viewing habits to partners you have approved. This allows us to generate revenue that we share with our users with rewards and promotions.

When you choose to request your data from other data controllers that are not TikTok and Google such as streaming or retail companies, we undertake the following steps:
-
We share the details of your account with the relevant data controller so they can identify your data set in their records and initiate the transfer.
We do not share your data with anyone outside of the relevant data controller to process your request. We will never sell your personal data so that it can be used to contact, re-target or spam you.
Your data is anonymised before it is shared with third parties and they would not be able to re-identify you and therefore use your data to re-contact or spam you. Examples of this anonymised data could be something like:
-
30M from London bought Item X at Merchant Y on this date and time.
-
56F from Loughborough watch Film X on Streaming Platform Y at this date and time
This sharing and use of your data is carried out routinely and often unclearly by many of the companies you engage with. SuperMarketer differs from them by being open about who your data is being shared with, anonymising the data and providing the majority of the revenue earned from this share directly back to you, the rightful data owner.
How do you keep my data secure?
SuperMarketer priorities safeguarding your data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction including the following methods:
-
Using encryption to keep your data private while in transit
-
Utilising a number of distinct and separate data stores when processing your data. Each user's sensitive data retrieved from third party platforms (e.g. YouTube watch history) is always stored in a separate data store from that user's personally identifiable information (e.g. name, email).
-
Maintaining robust security procedures to protect the confidentiality of your personal data. We regularly review these measures and update them where necessary to protect against unauthorised access to our systems.
Where is your data stored?
SuperMarketer servers where your data is stored are based inside the UK and EU. We do not transfer your personal information outside of the UK and the EU.

How long do you keep my data for?
We hold on to your personal data for as long as you have an account with us. If you decide to close your account, we keep your data for up to one-year on our servers. If you decide to close your account your personal data will not be shared with anyone.

Additionally, you have the right at any time to close your account and also stipulate that we delete your personal data. You can do so by contacting us at omar@supermarketer.co.uk.
